accoutrement - noun clothing that is worn or carried, but not part of your main clothing
-It is necessary for a soldier to carry all his accoutrements.

apogee - noun a final climactic stage
-The novel's apogee was reached when the criminal was finally found.

apropos - adj. of an appropriate or pertinent nature; adv. by the way; at an opportune time
-The priests actions were apropos for the funeral ceremony.

bicker - noun a quarrel about petty points; verb argue over petty things
-The students of fifth period bickered about what song to sing while Preston was gone.

coalesce - verb fuse or cause to grow together; mix together different elements
-The two chemicals coalesce when swished together.

contretemps - noun an awkward clash
-Contretemps are likely to occur with a couple with significantly different personalities.

convolution - noun the action of coiling or twisting or winding together
-The patient went into a convolution stage, where his actions and reactions were unexplainable.

polemic - adj. of or involving dispute or controversy over extreme causes  noun a controversy (especially over a belief or dogma); a writer who argues in opposition to others (especially in theology)

populous - adj. densely populated
-The populous forest created a habitat for many animals.

probity - noun complete and confirmed integrity; having strong moral principles
-The police officer had kept to his original promise of protecting the people, and he was respected for his probity.

repartee - noun adroitness and cleverness in reply

supervene - verb take place as an additional or unexpected development
-The second band was supervene, but everyone enjoyed hearing good music for free.

truncate - adj. terminating abruptly by having or as if having an end or point cut off; verb make shorter as if by cutting off; approximate by ignoring all terms beyond a chosen one; replace a corner by a plane

unimpeachable - adj. beyond doubt or reproach; completely acceptable; not open to exception or reproach; free of guilt; not subject to blame
