“Giving kids clothes and food is one thing but it is much more important to teach them that other people besides themselves are important, and that the best thing they can do with their lives is to use them in the service of other people.” - Dolores Huerta

Marina Abramovic - Rhythm 0

When Preston was lecturing and he mentioned The Prison Experiment, and the increasing aggressiveness that the prisoners experienced from the guards, I remembered this artist and one of her performances/galleries. Her work focuses on the relationship between audience and performer. She has been described as "the grandmother of performance art."

Rhythm 0.

"‘What I learned was that if you leave it up to the audience, they can kill you. I felt really violated – they cut up my clothes, stuck rose thorns in my stomach, one person aimed the gun at my head, and another took it away. It created an aggressive atmosphere. After exactly 6 hours, as planned, I stood up and started walking toward the audience. Everyone ran away, to escape an actual confrontation’"

  1. NIPS, SHAME ON YOU LUPE. Society says the N word (nips, mind you) is a horrible, horrible thing. It should be kept well hidden in several layers of clothing. Of course, it is to note that only women's nips are to be kept prisoner and that men are free to publicly wear it out with pride as it does not sexually arouse. There are no exceptions to this rule. If you are to be breastfeeding your child, you are condemn to do it in the bathroom.

    1. God forbid a woman show her breasts in public, *gasp* ESPECIALLY to breastfeed. HAHA. There is a specific reason why I chose that picture, and THAT video. You literally read my mind. #freethenipple
